The first A in our 3A leadership model stands for Authentic. Much is written in the academic literature about authentic leadership but it can mean different things to different people. We assess a leader's level of authenticity through the questions below.
I only ask people to do things that I do myself (i.e. I lead by example).

The second A in our 3A leadership model stands for Approachable. This is the Caring part of the Care to Dare leadership model by George Kohlrieser and others.
I take time to listen to others and hear what they have to say.
I actively seek out other people's points of view.
I accept people for who they are.
I regard mistakes as learning opportunities.
I avoid judging people harshly for poor performance.
I want to see other people grow and flourish at work.
I give praise when praise is due.
People see me as nurturing and supportive.
The third A in our 3A leadership model stands for Authoritative. This is the Daring part of the Care to Dare leadership model by George Kohlrieser and others.
I am seen as a competent leader by my team.
I willingly take tough or risky decisions.
I stand by any decision I take and accept responsibility for the outcome.
I often a clear and inspiring vision to my team and others.
I will pull people up for poor performance.
I give fair and actionable feedback to people when necessary.
People value and respect me as a leader.
